Celebrate Developmental Disability (DD) Awareness Month

February 25, 2024 //  by MCBDD

Wear Orange on March 4th to Celebrate DD Awareness Month

March is Developmental Disabilities (DD) Awareness Month. Join the Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities as we celebrate and recognize those we serve and their families throughout March.

We honor our progress, reflect on the work that still needs to be done, and bring awareness to the DD community daily. But March is specifically earmarked for our community to join in the celebration!

Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is DD Awareness Day! Grab your orange attire, join Marion DD in painting the county ORANGE for DD Awareness Month, and promote community inclusion.

Inclusion is about sharing experiences. So put on your orange, and share pics of you, your school, co-workers, and friends wearing orange. Add #WorthIt and tag us – @MarionDD on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. We want to see your DD Awareness pride!

No orange in your wardrobe? Our Partner Provider can help!

MARCA Industries, ReMARCAbly Made has the perfect shirts for you to purchase to support DD Awareness Day on March 4th! Hurry, orders must be placed by February 24th to guarantee they will be completed in time. Click here to order.
